Britt's have been making delicious organic bakery products for over 11 years from their Gold Coast base. Danish pastry chef Rene and his wife Britt saw demand growing for organic bakery products and started the company to respond. Since then they've won many loyal customers and awards.
Since then this family bakery has tripled in size and produces organic sourdoughs, pies, cookies and crispbreads from their organically certified production line in Molendinar.
Their organic products are nutritious, flavoursome, preservative-free - and include a range of delicious gluten free options. Using century old technique of artisan bread making means Britt's can create a very distinctive flavour that characterises the baker making it. They use a very particular levain (starter culture) which has been actively used in their breads for over 10 years, giving it a unique yet incredibly tasty profile. The breads begin as dough that is left to very slowly ferment 12-18 hours before mixing allowing for a more developed culture. After the breads have been mixed and formed they are left to slowly proof to develop a bubbly texture, making it ready for baking.
Britt's recently picked up an Australian Fine Food award for their delicious organic paleo chia breaks.
